    Hasselgren Moves to Danske

    Stockholm (NordSIP) – Global Head of RI Strategy at proxy advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) Ulrika Hasselgren has been hired by Danske Bank, Hasselgren has confirmed to NordSIP, following a story that appeared in AMWatch.

    “I have a strong belief that responsible investments and ESG must be integrated into the very core of the business, and that it will increasingly be a decisive competitive issue, for both institutional and retail consumers. I’m looking forward to help execute on Danske Bank’s high ambitions in this area,” Hasselgren said.

    Hasselgren will report to Head of Danske Bank AM Henrik Gade Jepsen. The move is effective as of today, February 1st, 2018.

    “By hiring Ulrika, I am convinced that we have set a high bar for our ambitions in responsible investments, and at the same time we’ve taken an important step towards our goal of becoming the Nordic thought leader within RI,” Jepsen commented to AMWatch.

    Hasselgren’s background includes McKinsey and Ethix SRI Advisors. More recently, she co-wrote a report commissioned by the Knowledge Foundation (together with Dr Emma Sjöstrom) on Sustainability in Alternative Asset Management, which evaluates how hedge funds approach sustainability issues in their organization and investment processes.
