AP3 Announces Passing of CIO Mårten Lindeborg

Stockholm (NordSIP) – We were saddened to read yesterday on Swedish state pension AP3’s website the announcement that the fund’s CIO and deputy CEO has died prematurely, after a short illness.

Mårten Lindeborg was promoted to his current position at AP3 in 2015, after the departure of Kerim Kaskal. He joined the pension fund in February 2009 as Head of Strategic Allocation and served as Head of Asset Management since 2014, after working at DNB and Skandia as a portfolio manager and head of tactical asset allocation.

Lindeborg was a supporter of the green bond market and was quoted recently in an interview (IPE) saying: “We believe we can get the same returns from green bonds as from regular bonds. We would also like to make the market larger, and more transparent. There needs to be a standardised list of criteria for labelling green bonds so that investors can evaluate their sustainability.”
