There are three big issues the world needs to tackle in order to make the future sustainable, according to professor Jeffrey Sachs, director of the SDSN. And he points out one country to be more likely than all others to reach its goals in time. “It’s actually not that hard to be prosperous, nice and sustainable”, he says.
Jeffrey Sachs is a world renowned American Economist and director of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, SDSN, a global initiative for the United Nations. On May 15 he was invited to give a keynote speech on a Swedish seminar* on the implementation of the sustainable development goals, SDGs. Speaking in front of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and many other prominent guests, he pointed out the major challenges the world has to deal with in order to make the world sustainable.
