Stockholm (NordSIP) – The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LGX) announced the recruitment of Flavia Micilotta (pictured right), previously the Executive Director of Eurosif, the pan-European Sustainable and Responsible Investment Membership Organization Forum she led since 2015.
Prior to joining Eurosif, Micilotta accumulated over 17 years of experience in responsible business management and responsible investments. She spent several years as a sustainability consultant and qualified environmental auditor at EY and Deloitte and helped several European banks and asset managers streamline their Responsible Investment approach. Most recently, while at Eurosif, she was selected to take part in the High-Level Expert Group advising the European Commission on the Action Plan for Sustainable Finance.
In her new position at LGX, Micilotta will be in charge of advancing the reach of the LGX platform by broadening the scope of services offered to issuers and investors. “Capitalising on the momentum around sustainable finance is an essential element for building a solid framework and engaging with the right players. LGX is a clear example of such an approach and I am thrilled about contributing to the platform’s growth and success,” says Micilotta in a press release.
Micilotta will report to Julie Becker, Member of the Executive Committee of LuxSE and architect of LGX. “We need to mainstream sustainable finance to achieve the ambitious goals set forth by the UN SDGs,” Beckers comments. “At LuxSE, we continue to make our contribution by continuous leadership. We are extremely pleased to welcome Flavia, an engaged and knowledgeable expert, to drive our further developments in sustainable finance.”
