Schroders announced it has hired an ESG integration specialist, focused on enhancing Schroders’ ability to embed sustainability across its investment teams to better meet the needs of its clients.
Stephanie Chang joined as an ESG Integration Manager, a newly-created role, and will report into Schroders’ Head of Sustainable Research, Andrew Howard.
She previously spent almost five years at PwC where she was an Assistant Director for Sustainability and Climate Change, focused on the impacts of climate change for financial services and helping clients develop risk management frameworks to respond to the low carbon transition.
Her clients included global banks, insurers, asset managers and private equity houses.
Jessica Ground, Global Head of Stewardship, Schroders, said:
“Stephanie brings a wealth of ESG knowledge and expertise when it comes to measuring, managing and integrating sustainability.
“Our clients are increasingly asking for ESG to be embedded into their portfolios and, in turn, we are also constantly seeking to improve how effectively we integrate ESG across Schroders’ investment desks.
“Stephanie’s appointment will enhance our ability to deliver the best sustainable investment outcomes for clients across the asset classes in which we invest.”
Schroders continues to build-out its ESG-integrated products, having announced the launches of the European Sustainable Equity fund in January and the Sustainable Multi-Factor Equity fund late last year.
The United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investment has awarded Schroders with an A+ rating – the highest ranking available – for its approach to responsible investing and ESG integration for the past four consecutive years.
