JP Morgan AM Recruits New Head of Sustainable Investing (Press Release)

London, February 25, 2019 – J.P. Morgan Asset Management today announced the hiring of Jennifer Wu as Global Head of Sustainable Investing. Ms. Wu joins J.P. Morgan from BlackRock, where she was a member of its Sustainable Investing team. She will also lead J.P. Morgan’s Sustainable Investing Leadership Team (SILT), a global team of senior leaders focused on sharing best practices for sustainable investing across asset classes. Ms. Wu will be based in London.

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2014, Jennifer worked for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the energy sector of the Central and West Asia Department and was responsible for infrastructure project finance and energy sector reform. Jennifer started her career in venture capital and private equity, focusing on equity investments in technology and renewable energy in Asia as a research analyst and subsequently a portfolio manager.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management is a recognized leader in sustainable investing in its real estate and infrastructure businesses. ESG factors have been integrated into the firm’s acquisitions and asset management processes to mitigate risk and add value, and two of the firm’s real estate strategies in 2018 were ranked #1 by the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).

J.P. Morgan Asset Management has also been recognized by the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) for its strong approach to ESG Integration across its equities, fixed income, and alternatives businesses, receiving its strongest scores to date in 2018.
