AP7 Looking for Active Ownership Manager

Stockholm (NordSIP) – AP7 is looking for an Active Ownership Manager to join the Communication and Corporate Governance department. The successful applicant will manage projects involving analyses, collaborations, and methods for dealing with global sustainability challenges.

With a global equity portfolio of just over 3,000 companies worldwide, AP7’s sustainability work is multifaceted. The pension fund votes at companies’ assembly general meetings, engages with its investee companies, and assesses whether certain sectors or companies ought to be excluded from its portfolio. It also participates in legal proceedings based on the Global Compact’s ten principles.

The successful candidate will have several years of experience in sustainability and corporate governance, including analysis, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting, informed by a good understanding of ESG issues. Written and spoke fluency in Swedish and English is a requirement.

AP7 is the default Swedish public pension fund. It has 38 employees and manages almost SEK700 billion for five million Swedish premium pension savers. Most recently, NordSIP reported on AP7’s climate change lobbying analysis, a settlement it reached with Alphabet regarding sexual harassment by Google executives, and its search for an external provider of ESG screening analysis, engagement proxy research, and voting services.

Selection and interviews are ongoing. For more details about this role, please read AP7’s official vacancy announcement.
