    Heat, Wine & More Taxonomy

This week, we continue to catch up on the many developments on the regulatory front. After the impressive ‘Fit for 55’ package and the proposal for a new social taxonomy, two more taxonomy proposals, ‘Significantly Harmful’ and ‘No Significant Impact’, saw the light of day.

As the Nordics continue to enjoy the summer bliss, we reflect on the heat effects of a good glass of wine. Meanwhile, ETF providers continue to churn out sustainable investment options. We noted the introduction of a Euro Government Green Bond (DR) UCITS ETF by Lyxor and at the other end of the risk spectrum, Invesco launched a USD High Yield Corporate Bond ESG UCITS ETF and in the equities space an MSCI Emerging Markets ESG Universal Screened UCITS ETF.

Further East, China’s finally launched its highly anticipated national carbon emission trading scheme (ETS). Just a few days old, the world’s largest carbon trading program has already attracted much scrutiny. This week, we also found out that Fiona Reynolds will join Australian financial media company Conexus Financial as its CEO in January 2022m, following her departure as CEO of the PRI.
