Schroders Continues to Expand Nordic Team

Stockholm (NordSIP) – This week Schroders announced the appointment of Henrik Zeffer as Senior Client Director to further strengthen the firm’s client relationship capabilities in the Nordics. Zeffer will work to continue to build a strong institutional and intermediary footprint across the Nordic region leveraging Schroders decades of experience in servicing local Nordic clients. He will be based in Stockholm and will report to Henrik Jonsson, Head of Nordic Region.

Zeffer joins from Allianz Global Investors where he was Vice President for institutional clients in the Nordic region and prior to that Henrik was with Handelsbanken for nine years. Henrik holds a Master of Science from Linköping Institute of Technology.

    Nordic Priorities

“I’m looking forward to joining Schroders and becoming a part of the established Nordic sales team. Understanding individual needs and building quality relationships with institutional clients to provide value is my day-to-day focus. I look forward to assisting clients with beneficial solutions to further integrate Schroders strategies into their portfolios,” Zeffer says on this occasion.

Discussing his new responsibilities and the importance of sustainability in the Nordics, Zeffer emphasised how diverse investors in region are. “ESG and sustainability is always part of the discussion with Nordic clients. Delivering on clients high expectations, will and has always been my main focus. I look forward to, working together with clients, to find suitable solutions, leveraging Schroders sustainability and climate capabilities.”

“The Nordics have for long been at the forefront of sustainable investment and sustainable investing is a commonality shared amongst most Nordic investors. With that said, all clients are different and have different needs. While these investors’ end goals may in many ways be similar, their approaches tend to differ as investors have different focus areas and ideas of how to invest sustainably,” Zeffer adds

“I don’t think there is a ‘silver bullet solution’ as sustainability itself is multi-faceted. Schroders is very committed to sustainable investments and many of the commitments made, such as that of aiding the transition to a net-zero economy, align with those of the region. I’m looking forward to working together with clients on how to address this and other related topics, both on the public and private asset side, with the backing of Schroders’ expertise and resources in the area,” Zeffer explains.

    Expanding into Private Markets?

“Banks, asset managers and institutions in the Nordic region have been leading the development of sustainable investing for a long time. In almost every client discussion, sustainable investing is part of the discussion. It doesn’t matter if the topic is Private markets, Equities or Fixed income,” Zeffer continues.

“Schroders is today one of the largest asset managers in the private assets space, and we continue to see tremendous potential for growth in this area over the long-term. Henrik’s vast expertise in this area will be of great value as we focus on taking this business from strength to strength,” Henrik Jonsson, Head of Nordic Region, Schroders, commented.

“Henrik brings a large amount of experience in many different asset classes in combination with his deep insight into the Nordic market specifically, we believe that he will be well-placed to deliver the best results for our clients and help them grow their business,” Jonsson concludes.
