Stockholm (NordSIP) – Following the announcement of the finalists of Länsforsäkringar’s “Responsible fund performance of the year” award at the end of February, the Enter Return fund has now been recognised as the winner of this year’s competition.

Fund companies and funds that are in Länsförsäkringar’s selected fund offerings were invited to apply for the award by highlighting any climate-related activity or investment they have made during the year and what effect it has had.

The jury that selected the finalists assessed clarity, effect and innovation, among other things. Asides from the winner, the Swedish insurance company had shortlisted BNP Paribas Global Environment, Carnegie Strategy Fund and Wellington Global Impact as the finalist contenders.

The result incorporates the votes of Länsforsäkringar customers and other visitors to the insurance company’s website. The voting took place on Länsförsäkringar’s website.

“We are both proud and grateful that the work in Enter Return is appreciated and noticed. The fund’s new climate strategy would not have been possible without the cooperation with the fund’s investors, which gives us the confidence to manage their money. During the past year, we have had many fruitful dialogues with companies that need to borrow money to finance their transition,” says Gustaf Tegell (Pictured), manager of the Enter Return fund at Enter Fonder.

“Sustainability in general and the climate issue, in particular, are close to the heart of the regional insurance group. Therefore, it is nice that through the sustainability competition we can show our customers how their investments can contribute to a more climate-smart society. The winning fund, but also the other finalists, are good examples of how pension savers can actively participate in influencing and contributing to the transition,” says Ricard Robbstål, CEO of Länsförsäkringar Göteborg and Bohuslän.
