Stockholm (NordSIP) – Experienced fund managers from credible institutions are key for sustainable investors seeking to incentivise small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to improve their ESG practices. In this spirit, Triodos Investment Management hired Dimitri Willems as Fund Manager of the Triodos Pioneer Impact Fund on August 15, 2022.
The Triodos Pioneer Impact Fund focuses on listed SME delivering pioneering solutions to sustainability challenges. The fund is managed by Triodos Investment Management, part of Triodos Bank, in line with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals. The fund targets companies aligned with seven sustainable transition themes: Sustainable Food & Agriculture, Renewable Resources, Circular Economy, Sustainable Mobility & Infrastructure, Prosperous & Healthy People, Social Inclusion & Empowerment, and Innovation for Sustainability.
Willems brings 23 years of listed equities portfolio management experience to the Triodos fund. Prior to joining Triodos IM, he worked for eight and a half years at ING Investment Management (NN IP), followed by almost 14 years as Senior Portfolio Manager at Kempen Capital Management. Between July 2021 and August 2022, he was Investment Director at Castra, a Dutch family office. Willems holds a master’s in business economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam and is a CFA Charterholder.
