Getting into the nitty gritty

“It is very clear to me that discussions about what constitutes responsible investing are become more concrete. We are getting into the nitty gritty and commitments are firming up,” said Wilhelm Mohn (pictured left), Global Head of Corporate Governance at Norges Bank Investment Management and Board member of the UN PRI.

“PRI offers great opportunities for investors to join forces and influence all types of listed companies through collaborative engagements. I cannot stress enough the importance of engaging with companies from different sectors, particularly with the worst polluters.
Private equity owners typically have significant control over the companies they own and can use this control to push companies towards a more sustainable future. And once companies start on a sustainability journey, they seldom stop midway. If they make a commitment it’s very difficult to back down on it,” added Tycho Sneyers (pictured right), Managing Partner at LGT Capital Partners and Board member of the UN PRI.
