Triodos IM Reaches Out to the Nordics

Stockholm (NordSIP) – As asset owners seek to help the world meet the goals of the Paris Agreement, they benefit from being exposed to as wide a range of reputable and sustainable external managers as possible.

To this effect, Triodos Investment Management announced a was partnering with Norway’s Cultura Bank, who will distribute three of Triodos’ impact investing funds focused on listed companies and bonds in Norway: the Triodos Global Equities Impact Fund, the Triodos Pioneer Impact Fund and the Triodos Future Generations Fund.

Triodos IM manages 17 funds and is a subsidiary of Triodos Bank, a Dutch financial institution. These are the first Triodos IM funds notified and distributed in Norway. The funds were already available for distribution in Denmark and Sweden. In 2018, Triodos IM was the first non-Nordic asset manager to receive the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for its funds.

According to Triodos IM, the funds target companies that are instrumental in the transition towards a sustainable economy. The Triodos Global Equities Impact Fund manages €1,098 million in assets and aims to generate positive impact and competitive returns from a concentrated portfolio of equities issued by large-cap companies offering sustainable solutions. Triodos Pioneer Impact Fund manages €627 million in assets and and has the same aim but does so with a concentrated portfolio of small- and mid-cap companies pioneering the transition to a sustainable society. Triodos Future Generations Fund manages €36 million and was launched in 2022. It invests in listed small and midcap companies that support an ecosystem of equal opportunity, health and well-being, education, and safety for children.
