Stockholm (NordSIP) – After over three decades of uninterrupted presence in the Nordics, Schroders continues strengthening its client relationship capabilities in the region. On 20 February, the firm announced the appointment of Ludvig Löfving as Client Director. He will be based in Stockholm and report to Henrik Jonsson, Head of the Nordic Region.
“I am excited to continue to foster meaningful dialogues with Nordic clients and to be part of a large, well-established Nordic team,” comments Löfving. “Assisting clients in achieving their objectives in an ever-changing investment landscape is my passion, and I look forward to leveraging Schroders strategies effectively within their portfolios”.
The newly appointed Client Director joins Schroders from BNP Paribas Asset Management, where he was Nordic Client Relationship Manager for wholesale and institutional clients. Previously, he worked at local Swedish asset manager Didner & Gerge for five years. Löfving holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Luleå University of Technology.
“One of our top strategic priorities is to increase our local footprint further to develop even closer relationships with our Nordic clients, and we have, during the last years, grown the Nordic team significantly,” says Henrik Jonsson. “Ludvig brings a wealth of experience from the distribution part of the market in combination with deep insights into the Nordic region and our local investors in general. We believe he will be well-placed to deliver exceptional results for our clients and help them grow their business.”
Last year, upon receiving a prestigious award in Sweden, Jonsson reflected on the importance of having a long-term commitment and a sustainable focus as an asset manager, especially in the Nordics. “Being one of the first foreign asset managers with a local presence, the last 30 years in the Nordics have been key to Schroders’ development in the region,” he said at the time. “While Nordic investors have come to learn about Schroders, they also acknowledge our ability to uncover the sustainable winners of the future, which is key to many investors in the region.”
This focus on sustainability seems to appeal greatly to Löfving as well. “The increased focus on ESG within the asset management industry is a great force for change for a greener, more sustainable and equal world, and I am very happy to join Schroders, a firm that is well positioned and very ambitious in its sustainability work across all asset classes,” he says. “I look forward to working closely with our sustainability expert in the Nordic region, Edson Fonseca, our portfolio managers and, of course, with our clients to further strengthen the work within this field. For us, it is important to be a trusted partner and to share our research, knowledge, and expertise widely for everyone’s benefit.”
