Stockholm (NordSIP) – At its Annual General Meeting and General Assembly, on April 11th, Eurosif elected four new members to its Board Directors representing member SIFs (sustainable investment fora), including Cecilia Cisana, responsible for ESG Client Solutions at Morningstar Sustainalytics and a Board Member Swesif.
The election was necessary to fill the vacancies left by the natural conclusion of respective sitting mandates as well as the resignation of Susanne Bolin-Gartner. Elections were held with the full participation of the Eurosif membership to select candidates for these seats dedicated to SIF representatives.
Cisana has over 20 years of experience in finance. She joined Morningstar in 2013 and has worked with advisory services and client relations. Prior to this, she also worked with the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) supporting the development of the PRI Reporting Framework, with a focus on listed equities and active ownership. In the past, she also worked at Deutsche Bank and Barclays. Cisana is a graduate of te University of Colorado, where studied Economics and International affairs, and of the London School of Economics where she graduated from the MSc Environmental Policy and Regulation programme.
“I am delighted to welcome Cecilia, Helena, Pablo, and Verena to the Eurosif Board, and I look forward to working with them closely and to supporting the Board during this crucial next phase for Eurosif,” commented Aleksandra Palinska, Eurosif’s Executive Director. “We will continue to develop the organisation to ensure its growth and deliver on Eurosif’s mission to promote sustainable development through financial markets.”
Cisana says she is both honoured and excited to have been elected to the Eurosif board. “With a broad understanding of investor ESG needs and market drivers for sustainable investments across Europe, I look forward to contributing to strong member collaboration within the Eurosif community,” she adds.
“Swesif became a member of Eurosif in 2022 and we welcome the opportunity to deepen our engagement with peers in Europe by representation to the Eurosif Board,” comments Jennie Ahren, Chair of Swesif’s Board. “We recently celebrated 20 years as a forum for sustainable investments, and aim to extend collaborations with relevant stakeholders to ensure that we keep a relevant position in this rapidly evolving field. I feel confident that Cecilia Cisana has both the expertise and the commitment to represent our members in Brussels.”
Asides from Cisana, another three candidates were successfully elected to Eurosif’s Board of Directors on that occasion: Helena Charrier (FIR, France), Pablo Esteban (Spainsif) and Verena Menne (FNG, Germany) were then officially confirmed as Board Directors during Eurosif’s General Assembly and will serve for a term of three years.
