Stockholm (NordSIP) – Pia Gisgård, Head of Sustainability and Corporate Governance at Swedbank Robur, has been nominated as an investment manager candidate for the forthcoming PRI Board Director election. Gisgård joined Swedbank Robur in 2017 from SEB Wealth Management.
In her candidate statement, Gisgård highlights Swedbank Robur’s longstanding commitment to sustainability, with the bank having already launched its first environmentally focused fund during the 1980s. She emphasises her close collaboration on strategy and governance with the bank’s CEO and CIO as part of her current role, as well as her participation in Swedbank Robur’s Sustainability Committee. Gisgård has a background in law, having worked for a Swedish law firm following the completion of her Master of Law degree with honours from the University of Lund, where she specialised in corporate and business law. She believes this experience has helped her navigate the complex regulatory environment associated with sustainable investment and corporate governance.
On 17 September, the main contacts for every PRI signatory organisation will be invited via email to vote on behalf of their chosen candidates. Voting closes on 26 November 2024 at 17:00 GMT. The results will be announced on 6 December, with the new Directors starting their terms on 1 January 2025.
