Stockholm (NordSIP) – At a time when responsible investments and biodiversity are part of the mainstream political and financial discourses, mass familiarity with these subjects is crucial for any forward-thinking business.
Launched in 2014, the PRI Academy, a leading provider of responsible investment training and the education arm of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), is designed to address the ESG skills gap within the investment sector. PRI Academy training seeks to provide organisations with an essential understanding of key responsible investment concepts, helping to foster a companywide ESG baseline fluency, as well as offering advanced and subject-specific training for those functions that require deeper expertise.
In its most recent effort to bridge this gap, the PRI Academy has launched two new courses: “Responsible Investment in 60 Minutes” and “Nature and Biodiversity for Investors”.
All signatories receive a 20% discount on course purchases. There are also tiered enterprise discounts available for group bookings, starting from 25 licenses. In addition, purchases made before 31 December will receive an extra 10% launch discount, across the value of the entire order.
Responsible Investment in 60 Minutes
The “Responsible Investment in 60 Minutes” course offers a one-hour concise introduction to key concepts in responsible investment and the materiality of ESG considerations within investment decision-making.
The course is designed to be rolled out across all functions and levels providing a companywide foundational understanding of key ideas and a cross-functional, common and consistent use of ESG and RI terminology.
Learners are expected to leave the course with a clear conception of the ‘what?’ and ‘why?’ of responsible investment, and a more confident fluency to engage in informed discussions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders around ESG-related issues.
After successfully completing the course and passing the assessment, learners are awarded an industry-recognised certificate of completion form the PRI, along with a digital badge to showcase their achievement.
Nature and Biodiversity for Investors
On the eve of the biodiversity COP16, the “Nature and Biodiversity for Investors” course explores the growing importance of nature-related considerations in investment analysis. By the end of the two-hour training, learners are expected to gain an understanding of the most significant risks and opportunities tied to nature and biodiversity, as well as key policy and framework developments shaping the area.
Using practical examples and case studies throughout, the course enables learners to think about how to bring this knowledge into their working practice to help shape and implement their organisation’s biodiversity policies.
