Looking for Impact Solutions to Biodiversity Risks

It is very encouraging to see that attendance to the GIIN Forum has increased so much since last year. The interest in impact investments continues to grow and the integration of impact factors is increasingly being mainstreamed. Our community has become increasingly mature.

In the coming years Velliv will delve into biodiversity. Investors are becoming increasingly aware of the investment risks posed by biodiversity, and where there is risk, there is typically also opportunity. Many sectors are dependent on natural resources – such as water, arable land, raw materials such as wood, or pollination of certain crops – to generate their goods. However, these production processes can have a negative impact on biodiversity. This is why we joined the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge. We want to find partners with whom to cooperate, engage and learn to improve the impact of our investments. I’m looking forward to many conversations and inspiring meetings at this year’s GIIN Forum.
