Stockholm (NordSIP) – In an effort to spread best practices for sustainable investing, the CFA Institute Research and Policy Center has announced the publication of the “Investment Innovations Toward Achieving Net Zero: Voices of Influence” a booklet with insights from “net-zero thought leaders and investment luminaries” discussing the latest developments towards achieving net-zero CO2 emissions.
More than 50 authors from the United States, Europe, and Asia collaborating on 16 research projects are contributing to this publication. Some of the chapters of the book have already been published while the remaining will be published through January 2025. provide practical guidance for investors, asset managers, investment professionals, and regulators.
The booklet is divided in three parts Part one includes four articles discussing the issue of net-zero carbon emissions from a strategic perspective:
- Tools Used by System-Level Investors in Their Net-Zero Initiatives
- A New Focus for Investor Climate Commitments
- Carbonomics: The Economics of Reaching Net Zero
- Global Trends and Developments in Carbon Pricing (due 15 January 2025)
Part two presents the following eight articles taking a more “tactical” approach to net-zero carbon emission :

- Attribution of Portfolios with Climate-Related Signals
- Aligning Investments with the Paris Agreement: Frameworks for a Net-Zero Pathway

The third part of the report includes two case studies. The first such example focuses on Reconciling Portfolio Diversification with a Shrinking Carbon Footprint. The second such case study discusses Green and Transition Finance on the Municipal Level: The Case of Huzhou City
