Stockholm (NordSIP) – Sweden’s Second AP Fund (Andra AP-Fonden – AP2) has named Anna Hammer as its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO). She replaces Erik Kleväng Callert, whose January 2025 departure for a new position as CEO of SEB Trygg Liv was announced in October 2024.
Hammer joins AP2 from Swedish insurer Länsförsäkringar, where she had been CIO since 2018, prior to which she was responsible for the organisation’s macroeconomic forecasting as Chief Economist. Hammer’s professional experience also includes a senior advisory position at the Swedish Finance Ministry and as a labour market research economist at the Swedish National Institute for Economic Research (Konjunkturinstitutet).
Commenting on Hammer’s appointment AP2 CEO Eva Halvarsson said: “We are very pleased with the recruitment of Anna Hammer. Anna has a deep and broad knowledge experience from investment, macroeconomics and leadership. She is an appreciated and communicative leader and has a strong commitment to AP2’s important mission. I am convinced that Anna is the right person to continue the development of our asset management.”
Hammer is due to take up her new role at AP2 during the spring.
