Söderberg & Partners Green Lights Sustainable Leaders

Stockholm (NordSIP) – Söderberg & Partners has published its annual Traffic Lights report singling out the best players in the Swedish financial industry in 2024. This year’s report named Trygg-Hansa and Nordea Asset Management (Nordea AM) as “Sustainable Player of the Year” in non-life insurance and investments, respectively.

The Traffic Lights Report analyses the Swedish insurance and savings market to inform customers and consumers about how providers of financial services and products performed in 2024. Söderberg & Partners Wealth Management has been conducting sustainability analyses since 2015. This year, the report covered 4,170 funds within 144 fund categories, 13 unit-linked insurance companies, 10 life insurance companies and 19 non-life insurance companies.

The report also named Acadian Asset Management, SEB and Länsförsäkringar Garantiförvaltning as the best-performing players in general, non-sustainable categories.

Sustainability Winners

Nordea AM was named Sustainable Operator of the Year – Sustainable Investments. In its report, Söderberg & Partners noted Nordea AM’s ability to demonstrate strong sustainability leadership during a time of geopolitical turmoil and market challenges. Trygg-Hansa – P&C Insurance was named Sustainable Operator of the Year for the  Non-life Insurance sector. Söderberg & Partners highlighted Trygg-Hansa’s stated policy to always prioritise repairs and reuse of materials as well as its clear goals for circularity and solid process for damage prevention measures. According to the Swedish consultancy, Trygg-Hansa evaluates its suppliers based on sustainability factors and ranks them to create incentives to direct cases to the most sustainable actors. They are also very committed to several collaborations and initiatives.

The two companies were awarded a green rating by Söderberg & Partners. This rating means that the companies are well positioned to contribute to a more sustainable world.
