Equinor Asset Management

Equinor Asset Management (formerly Statoil Kapitalforvaltning) is a subsidiary of Equinor ASA (formerly Statoil ASA). This entity is authorised by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway as a management company for securities funds. Its purpose is to provide investment services to Equinor Pension and Equinor Insurance. Assets under management are long-term, and diversification is one of the pillars of the firm's investment philosophy. Investments are therefore widely invested on a global basis, including investments in equities, fixed income, money market instruments, and the management of seven UCITS funds. Equinor Asset Management may allocate funds to securities managed by other fund managers. These external managers are required to adhere to responsible management guidelines equivalent to Equinor’s standards, including criteria for exclusion, and are expected to be signatories of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
