Länsförsäkringar Liv, one of Sweden's largest and most well-established insurance companies, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Länsförsäkringar AB, which in turn is owned by the 23 customer-owned regional insurance companies. Founded in 1852, the insurance company is run according to mutual principles, which means that the profit stays with the customers. Länsförsäkringar Liv manages traditional life and pension insurance for its customers in three portfolios: Nya Trad, Gamla Trad and Nya Världen. The asset management for all portfolios is carried out by the Asset Management Unit, which is part of Länsförsäkringar Liv. In-house managers are entrusted with the strategic and tactical allocation of the portfolios. Although the unit has in-house managers for equities, fixed income, credit, alternative investments and property and carries out the fundamental analyses, Länsförsäkringar Liv also uses the best managers in each area worldwide to manage the clients' savings in the most cost-effective way.
